Airlines are being urged to look at the effectiveness of the manual handling training they give to their employees after a leading UK airline reportedly reduced the lost time incidents for one part of its workforce by 68.75% during a 12- month manual handling training programme delivered by Pristine Condition.

Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are are a major cause of absence in the airline industry and cost airlines and airports millions of pounds every year in injury claims and loss of productivity. To address this issue, Pristine Condition was commissioned by a leading UK airline to deliver a bespoke manual handling training programme to its entire workforce.
