Working with Training Qualifications UK, ProTrainings Europe are said to be the first organisation to launch the new ‘blended’ HSE option for First Aid at Work and Emergency First Aid at Work courses.
Blended learning enables the time spent in classroom training to be reduced, allowing part of the course to be completed online, and using full feature videos.
ProTrainings have been developing and perfecting their learning platform for over 8 years, therefore the software offered is a proven formula. They specialise in utilising a mix of e-learning, blended and classroom based learning that helps to provide the most effective training solution available.
Following the HSE June 2016 First Aid eBulletin, blended learning is now an accepted means of workplace first aid training. However the necessary checks to decide if blended learning is a suitable method for staff are to be carried out by employers, but it is recommended that centres familiarise themselves with the information in the full eBulletin to ensure that they can offer the most up to date advice and support for their clients.
The five main points within the eBulletin are: You are satisfied that where first aid training comprises of blended learning, it is as effective as exclusively face to face learning; The individual being trained knows how to use the technology that delivers the training; The training provider has an adequate means of supporting the individual during their training; The training provider has a robust system in place to prevent identify fraud; and, sufficient time is allocated to classroom based learning and assessment of the practical elements of the syllabus.
