TASC is a founding member of the UK Asbestos Training Association (UKATA) and delivers all levels of asbestos training to the syllabus laid down by UKATA. Trainers, training premises and training material are audited on an annual basis. The annual audit is carried out to ensure that we continue to deliver the highest level of asbestos training to our clients.
As a leading training provider, TASC continually develops new training material, for example it is one of only two companies to have written an Asbestos Awareness in Soils course accepted by the UKATA verifiers. We have a classroom and practical training area at our Chorley headquarters and also regularly deliver Asbestos Awareness training at client’s premises, depending on the client’s requirements and the locations of the training cohorts.
Courses are carried out by the company's principal trainer who has extensive experience and has been providing asbestos training for over 7 years’. To maintain standards, the principal trainer also has an auditing role that ensures that the standards of all trainers, training methods and training material remain at the highest level.
The principal trainer also inputs into the UKATA curriculum setting process, determining the instructor competency assessment questions and contributing to new courses. This proactive approach to the development and improvement of training provision ensures that we stay abreast of industry developments and we update our in-house courses each time a change is made to the UKATA curriculum. Combined with the membership of the Asbestos Licencing Information Forum where current issues are discussed we strive to stay at the forefront of industry thinking.
TASC is governed by parent company TSS’s management policies and procedures which are ISO9001 (Quality Management System), ISO14001 (Environmental Management), ISO 27001 (Information Security) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) accredited.
