Fire guidance

The Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) has unveiled the 2nd edition of its popular Best Practice Guide in Passive Fire Protection.

The Guide to Ensuring Best Practice for Passive Fire Protection in Buildings contains comprehensive information about the installation, specification, commissioning and purchasing of passive fire protection.

The new document offers advice in a fresh, easy-to-read format, with recommendations clearly highlighted within the text and summarised at the end of each section.

This latest edition, has been updated to reflect changes in legislation, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and its national equivalents and changes in standards and codes of practice for fire safety in buildings e.g. BS 7974, BS 9999 and BS 9991. It also now also covers legislation within the Republic of Ireland.

The A4 Guide is available in hard copy format for £25 plus postage or for free download from asfp.associationhouse.org.uk/default.php?cmd=210&doc_category=211
