Traffik was recently asked by Mitie
PFI to reinvigorate the flooring at
John Smeaton Community College
in Leeds, which its FM division
manages. Mitie hoped to avoid
premature replacement of the
existing Marmoleum and transform
stained, damaged flooring while
achieving the same 60% cost savings
against laying a new floor that were
achieved at another of its sites by
Traffik.
Traffik repaired and recoloured
the flooring, ensuring the
refurbished floor also complied with
HSE Slip Guidelines in line with
BS7976 Pendulum Testing.
Darren Fotherby, Mitie facilities
manager for the college wrote to
Traffik, 'Thank you for introducing
Mitie FM to the retro-fit PU Colour
Coating Anti Slip products. They
gave substantial financial savings and
avoided dumping over 200 m2 of
resilient flooring into landfill while
delivering attractive and safe floors.'
