Hummingbird Sensing Technology, the manufacturer of gas sensing technologies for medical and industrial markets, has confirmed that its entire product range is fully compliant with the material restrictions included within the RoHS II Directive (2011/65/EU) ahead of the 22 July 2017 deadline for industrial monitoring and control equipment.
Martin Cox, market sector manager at Hummingbird Sensing Technology, said: “The Directive governs restrictions on the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (EEE). Compliance means our complete range of gas sensor products complies with the most up to date revision of the EU RoHS legislation.”
By meeting the maximum concentration values tolerated by weight in homogeneous materials for industrial monitoring and control equipment, Hummingbird’s OEM partners and their customers know the Hummingbird sensors used within their own equipment already address waste management problems associated with the heavy metals and flame retardants.
