Specialist in the design and
manufacture of
textile lifting and
lashing systems and
ppe for working at
height, Trans-web
was the last link in a
chain that involved
lifting a hiab vehicle
onto a London
railway bridge and
safely back on to the
ground.
The chain began
with Balfour Beatty, which had
contracted Gatwick Plant Group, to
lay slabs along the railway track over
the length of Blackfriars Bridge. This
had to be done from the back of a
hiab lorry which needed to be lifted
onto and off the bridge.
Specialist lifting services
provider Fairview Lifting
Gear Services (FLGS) was
called into help and as a
regular user of Trans-Web
for bespoke webbing slings
they approached them
once again.
Working closely with a
chief designer from FLGS
on the specifications of the
nets, Trans-Web virtually
turned round their order in a day.
