A tool which helps Donghua quickly and easily identify replacement chain whilst engineers are on-site has been added to the Chain ID App from Donghua.
The App, which helps Donghua quickly and easily identify replacement chain whilst engineers are on-site, was launched earlier this year. Response to the App, which is also available for users in Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia, has been very positive.
Bob Wellsbury, managing director of Donghua, said: “Our web-based Chain ID Tool and mobile App already identify Agricultural Chain & Attachments, Leaf Chain and Standard Roller Chain & Attachments; Conveyor Chain is the latest addition to the Tool with Sprockets following soon.”
Bob added: “We receive many calls from engineers who need help to identify the right replacement chain for a piece of equipment. The Chain ID Tool on our website captures key information from which we can identify the right chain. Whilst customers have found the convenience of this website Tool really useful, the App means engineers can complete the relevant Chain ID form on their mobile or tablet when out on-site, with the assurance that we will notify them of the correct replacement chain within 1 hour*.”
With the new Conveyor Chain form, users can select whether the chain has a solid or hollow pin and the type of roller, link and attachment before submitting the completed form to Donghua. Exclusive to the App, images of the Conveyor Chain to be replaced can be uploaded to assist with identification of the chain.
