Steel toe cap boots are renowned for causing huge discomfort but the launch of Bootmate Safety Socks will help combine comfort with protection in the workplace.
Specially designed using a silicone (S-pad), Bootmate Safety Boot Socks have been tried and tested to protect feet from the trauma associated with wearing steel toe cap boots.
The S-pad is constructed using medical grade gel with the same flexibility and density as human flesh allowing it to stretch with the foot to provide continuous protection as you walk and bend.
The pad is strategically positioned to protect the top of the foot from damage caused as the steel toe cap comes into contact with the foot when kneeling down. The product was developed by industry experts at Canonbury Healthcare following a demand from occupational health nurses for a way to prevent foot pain experienced when wearing safety boots.
Barry Wright, former podiatrist and sales & marketing director at Canonbury Healthcare came up with the concept. He says: 'We identified a huge gap in the market in the form of safety socks and decided to develop a product to address the problems associated with wearing steel toe cap boots once and for all.'
Bootmate socks are made from anti-bacterial and anti-fungal material, the product offers all day comfort and protection. Bootmate is available in size 3 to 14. For further information contact Canonbury on 01280 706661 or visit www.bootmate.net
