Specialist vehicle product guide

The guide contains detailed information on the full range of truck and van mounted platforms.

Available in a printed or digital format, the large A4-sized guide provides customers the necessary details to select and order the most suitable vehicle mounted platform for their working at height tasks. As well as containing key features, technical specifications, optional accessories and driving licence requirements on the company’s fleet of 550 specialist vehicles, the guide also includes a number of case studies to give customers a greater understanding of typical machine applications.

Each section of the guide is conveniently separated by product type and machines are arranged in order of ascending height with a working envelope and height/reach indicator providing a quick visual reference. As well as highlighting key specifications, the guide also provides specific details on machine weights and dimensions, jacking type, point loadings and ground pressures, and additional functionality.

Peter Douglas, UK Operations Director, Nationwide Platforms, said: “With more than 550 units, we have the largest fleet of truck and van mounted platforms in the UK. Although they are becoming more popular with customers, they are still specialist machines when compared with general boom and scissor lifts.  We therefore felt it important to provide a detailed guide to help our customers select the right machine for the job.”

New products to be added to the company’s fleet this year include 39 Versalift van mounted lifts, http://www.nationwideplatforms.co.uk/hire/van-mounted-platforms  43 GSR truck mounted platforms with working heights between 17 and 22 metres, and seven Ruthmann truck mounted platforms with working heights of 28.5 and 33 metres.
