Storage bays

The 3.05 m high Alfablocs, one of a range of concrete retaining wall systems manufactured by Poundfield Products, are being installed to provide storage bays for a variety of products including construction and demolition waste as well as crushed materials and recycled stone and sands once a new washing plant comes on stream.

According to company owner Guy Nicholls, Poundfield's Alfabloc system was chosen mainly for its ability to be easily re-configured at any time to suit the business as it expands, but also for its overall professional appearance compared with other storage methods. Initially, the new centre will handle up to 2000 tonne of material every day.
