UTN Training is helping to spread festive cheer throughout the world by providing training for a UK-based Christmas decorating services company.
The Christmas Decorators work extensively throughout the UK and overseas to create Christmas magic and their worldwide projects include decorating the giant Christmas tree in Manger Square, Bethlehem.
To carry out their work, employees at the company’s 36 UK offices need to have a good understanding of street and highway regulations and working at height – so they regularly attend UTN Training courses at UTN’s 21 centres throughout the UK.
Two of the most recent employees to undertake training were Mark Lucas and Allan Prior from the company’s Wirral and Chester office. They recently took part in a one-day New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) course in Signing, Lighting and Guarding at UTN’s Liverpool training centre.
Mark said: “The course covered highway regulations which included the correct installation of barriers, bollards, road signs and traffic lights. The course was informative and engaging and we had the opportunity to practice what we had learnt on an actual highway. I learnt a lot and now have the skills needed to work safely on streets and roads, to not only safeguard pedestrians and motorists but also myself and colleagues.”
