SafeStart, the safety training programme, has announced a three day workshop in Manchester between 22nd – 24th May. Day one will be a standalone ‘Discovery Workshop’ with days two and three focussing on certifying individuals to deliver the programme.
Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of how SafeStart gives people the skills and awareness to avoid making unintentional mistakes that lead to injury. The programme is designed to help companies move beyond compliance in the workplace to improve safety performance, employee engagement, culture, home safety and business results.
Discovery Workshop – 22nd May
Created for safety, operations and HR managers, the one day ‘Discovery Workshop addresses key workplace safety issues including human error, recurring injuries, lack of employee engagement, and the perceived conflict between production and safety, common safety pain points that every manager encounters at one time or another. Experts at the event will outline the factors that lead to these issues and provide insight into how they can be solved through the SafeStart programme. Successful case studies will be shared.
Introduction & Certification Workshop 23rd - 24th May
The 2nd and 3rd day of the workshop will prepare and certify trainers to deliver SafeStart within their own company. It will discuss in detail the concepts, techniques, and course learning design. Acting as SafeStart instructors, attendees will gain hands on experience in delivering the programme, allowing participants to refine and practice the training modules with coaching and feedback from experienced consultants leading to certification at the end of the 3rd day.
